wistfully-woven

Here’s how this is gonna go down. You go to a person’s ask box and ask them to be your prom date. On October 21st, 2012 you will dress up in formal (prom) attire and post your picture. Instead of buying corsages you will reblog your date’s prom picture. REBLOG THIS POST TO MAKE IT HAPPEN! [photocred]

@one-time-i-dreamt what is this??

It’s exactly what it says in the OP! That’s how it went down. I remember seeing pictures of dressed up bloggers all over my dash that day and in the days following, and it was an experience, I tell you, an experience! No one asked me to go to Tumblr prom with them, and I remember feeling actually envious that I couldn’t participate, and I didn’t want to “go solo”. Now that’s just an embarrassing memory. People genuinely dressed up for Tumblr prom, took pics of themselves sitting in front of their computers and blogged about it like a real prom. It was a more successful event than Daschon AND it had no pit to meet people in.
